A Very Warm Welcome
Many thanks for visiting Adrian Watkins Online. I produced this site so people can see who I am and what I do - this is my philosophy about work, and life.  While focused primarily on my business background, observations and comments and information about some of my current ventures Acwokas Ventures and Mediaplex, 

I have also included some more light-hearted items, such as Coffee Break, and a revamped blog, which still incorporates my "AppAGlance" reviews and a new "HandyHints" section, as well as Research, Communications, and other posts I hope you find useful..

My Philosophy
Business is a huge part of my life. I like to consider myself as a  consultant and entrepreneur with interests across the Digital, Fashion & Entertainment industries. 

My consultancy work offers a core focus on assisting start/fix ups with corporate reorganisation, commercial strategy & increasing sales performance, operations, financials & investment requirements. 

However, I also thoroughly enjoy the thrill of working on personal projects - practising what I teach - and now have been fortunate enough to work on, and hold private interests in, other companies. 

In fact, having worked in the digital space for well over a decade, peer recognition is very important to me, and I was incredibly proud to be voted as the Top 69 "Rockstars of Web 2.0" by industry peers in 2009. I hope it won't be the last time! 

A Brief History
Having been fortunate to work at a senior level for some of the world's biggest media companies including Virgin and News Corporation, I have been involved in some of the biggest profile websites in the UK including Virgin Media and Visit London. 

I also gained plenty of experience expanding media brand footprints into new markets via product launches and company acquisition, including the purchase of one of Germany's largest videogame communities and the launch/running of the first ever non-English language version of IGN.com (Germany). 

Eventually, I decided to branch out on my own and Acwokas Ventures was born in 2011. This maintains my ruthless yet ethical and honest approach to business and is already reaping rewards.  Acwokas includes Acwokas Consults, Springboard Capital and Mediaplex UK.
